Whee! What a great idea! I'd like a bit of romance. HG/SS NC-17. Hermione's seventh year, post-war, post-Voldemort's defeat. During the Holiday season. Ever heard of a cloved lemon or cloved orange? It's a kissing game that's passed around. The receiver of the lemon plucks a clove with their teeth and then kisses the giver, the idea being to pass the clove (but the kissing comes first). The receiver then becomes the giver, and passes it along to receive another kiss. My challenge to you is to write a magical equivalent of a kissing game. It should be playful, it should melt a certain potion master's chilly exterior, and the outcome should be a tryst upon which a deeper relationship between the two can be built. My last request is that Hermione be the "brave" one. In this story, Snape is passionate but inexperienced, feeling that he doesn't deserve happiness or tenderness. Ok! Neat fic idea. Harry is all grown up, he's in the middle of the battlefeild, bodies everywhere, grief overcoming him not only because of lost friends and family, but because he had to kill (the song My Immortal by Evanescance comes to mind when thinking of this) there's a blood red sky behind Harry, he's holding the sword of Godric Gryffindor, breathing heavy, tears are in his eyes, everything hurts and finally he crumbles to the ground in front of the last death eater he's killed. His friends are in back, not sure how to help him, not sure if they can or want to, and Harry weeps, not because of the death eater he killed, but because perhaps THAT particular death eater had family, kids, a wife or husband, he doesn't know, he didn't take the white mask off. He just knows that someone back home is going to hurt because they lost their parent or family member, just like he did, try to convey the emotion of guilt and grief at the same time. He's 18 and he's already a murderer and he hates himself for it. Quite angsty.
Then! He collapses entirely and passes out, the last thing he see's before that is the blood red sky behind him.
Then he wakes up! And he's in a bedroom decorated with Quidditch and he finds out that he's 15 years old and his parents are alive. So the entire Harry Potter episode was really a nightmare, but it was so real and as Harry goes through day to day with his parents, he can't remember any other life before the "nightmare" he had. He can't remember growing up with his parents or anything. Dark magic afoot? Curse? Spell? You decide. Just thought it would be interesting. for flowerfunleah |
